Pro-Stat^® Indications for Use

Pro-Stat® has been shown to be effective in the treatment of low albumin levels in malnourished patients

It is estimated that between 35% and 85% of nursing home residents are at risk of malnutrition and dehydration. In preparation for the study below, 67% of randomly selected patients presented with malnutrition, as evidenced by low albumin levels. The results are for those patients who had albumin levels checked at regular intervals thereafter.

in albumin levels, following Pro-Stat® therapy.

Out of 30 nursing home patients studied, 20 (67%) presented with
malnutrition, evidenced by low albumin levels.
