Frank A. Newman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 2003 and a director since November 2002. From 1993-2000 he was Chairman, President and CEO of Eckerd Corporation, one of the largest drug store chains in the United States, and from 1986-1993 was President and CEO of F&M Distributors, Inc. a drug store chain. Mr. Newman is a director of Jabil Circuit, Inc., Jo-Ann Stores and MTS Medical Technology. He has served on the board of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores since 1993, including as its Chairman (1999-2000) and is a member of the board of advisors of University of Michigan School of Pharmacy and a Trustee of Sidwell Friends School, Washington D.C.

Frank J. Kimmerling, Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer

Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer since November 2008. Mr. Kimmerling was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Lamina Lighting, a global high tech manufacturing company focused on LED technology from August 2007 through August 2008. He previously served as Senior Manager and a Chief Financial Officer for Geller and Company's Emerging Business Group from March 2004, through August 2007 where he provided outsourced finance and accounting services to a range of businesses, serving as Chief Financial Officer for each of his clients. Prior to that, Frank has served as a Divisional CFO for the BISYS Group Inc., a financial services company from April, 2002 through December, 2003. Mr. Kimmerling is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ball State University where he received a BS in accounting, and is also a CPA.

Arnold M. Gans, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

President since the company’s formation in 1981 until 2007. Mr. Gans was previously President of Control Drug, Inc. a manufacturer of nutritional protein supplements. Mr. Gans was granted patents in 1977, which he has assigned to the Company, for method-use manufacturing for certain nutritional formula processes relating to the use of certain foods to treat nutritional deficiency. Mr. Gans has served on the Board of Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. He serves on the Alumni Board of Columbia University's School of Public Health and is Chairman of the Alumni Federation Scholarship Aid Committee. Mr. Gans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Columbia University.

Jeffrey M. Janco, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

Promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations in October 2006. Mr. Janco previously served as the Company’s Vice President of Operations since 1992. Upon joining the Company, he performed in the capacity of Operations Manager. His responsibilities include office administration, supply chain management, inside sales/customer service, human resources, information technology and logistics. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami.

Myra D. Gans, Executive Vice President

Executive Vice President since 1982, Secretary from 1990 to December 2006. Ms. Gans has over 25 years of experience working with clinicians and hospitals to integrate the Company’s products and programs as well as in organizing seminars for physicians. Currently, Ms. Gans initiates and manages customer agreements and distribution contracts for branded products as well as all the federal, state and county bids. She is integrally involved with sales & marketing and handles all advertising and associated matters. Ms. Gans also develops the business plans for new products. She attended Cornell University and Finch College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.

Robert (Bob) Mathias, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Vice President of Sales and Marketing since April 2009. Mr. Mathias was most recently Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Alimentary Health, a biotechnology company focused on proprietary probiotic and pharmabiotic treatments for GI disorders and other inflammatory conditions. Prior to that he was Director of Marketing for Novartis Medical Nutrition, and prior to that spent 18 years with Mead Johnson Nutritionals, ultimately as Director - Adult Nutrition U.S., the capacity in which he was serving when Mead Johnson was acquired by Novartis in 2004. Prior to Mead Johnson, Bob was a marketing manager for Kraft Foods, Canada. Bob is a graduate of Concordia University, Montreal, Canada where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration. He also completed the Kraft General Management MBA program at McGill University.

Jennifer Sallit R.D., Ph.D., Scientific Director

Scientific Director since July 2009. Associate Scientific Director since June 2008. Jennifer Sallit PhD, RD conducts research in gerontological nutrition for medical food product development. Dr. Sallit was an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University, where she taught courses in nutrition and has been involved in nutritional research for the last 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science from Drexel University, and a Masters and Doctorate of Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University. She completed her dietetic internship at New York Institute of Technology. Dr. Sallit’s prior research was focused on regulation of food intake and cognitive-behavioral therapy for weight control. For the past 3 years she has been working on product development and her current research focus is on improving the nutritional status of older adults. Dr. Sallit’s paper titled “A Cognitive-Behavioral Weight Control Program Improves Eating and Smoking Behaviors in Weight-Concerned Female Smokers” was published in The Journal of the American Dietetic Association in August 2009.
